Who can attend?
Anyone enrolled in a Wisconsin high school or middle school can participate in the Hackathon and the speaker presentations in the afternoon are open to members of the public. Previous hackathon experience is helpful but not necessary.
How do I register?
Registration is open starting March 5, 2019. To register please click on the “Register” button and fill out the Google Form. A week before the event you will receive a reminder asking you to confirm your attendance at the event.
How much will this cost?
The event is completely free. You will receive a free T-Shirt, along with a swag-stuffed goodie bag!
Will I have to bring my own food?
Pizza, water, and soft drinks will be provided. In the case of any special dietary needs, please fill out the appropriate question on the registration form and a special lunch will be provided to meet those needs. Additionally, snacks will be provided throughout the competition.
Where should I park and enter?
Please park in the parking lot behind Appleton North High School at 5000 N Ballard Rd, Appleton, WI 54913 , and enter through the large glass doors with HackAppleton signs on them.
What should I bring?
Please bring your Wisconsin school issued school ID, and any other items necessary for your own comfort.
How do I sign up our team?
On the registration form under the appropriate question you must fill out information about ALL team members (including yourself), and each member of the team must fill out such a form.
What are the team sizes?
The prizes are designed for teams of 4, but if necessary teams of 3 and 5 are welcome as well, though splitting the prizes and money might be awkward!
I want to do this but I don’t have a team?
Please check the appropriate option in the registration form, and we will do our best to match you up with others in your situation.
